Hello everyone, we hope you are all well.

We left Morocco at the beginning of October for a 240-mile sail to the Canary Islands. The prevailing wind is out of the north, so we actually had some good sailing. The islands are dry and barren but the beaches are fantastic. We visited the islands of Lanzorite, where we had our main sail repaired, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria. Las Palmas on Gran Canary is where Christopher Columbus stopped on his voyage to America. We visited the house, which is now a museum that they say he stayed at when he was here. We have been on the islands for about a month now.

We will leave on November 5 (after we hear the election results) for a long 8-day passage to the Cape Verde Islands.

Here are a few pictures of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria Island.
