Greetings from Agadir, Morocco
After leaving Barcelona, we continued down the coast of Spain, anchoring along the beach or stopping at ports such as Cartegna for walks and supplies. We arrived in Gibraltar on September 14, 2008. There was much construction in "the Rock" and one Main Street that was the tourist destination. We had hoped to have our main sail repaired, but that did not happen.

We crossed the Strait of Gibraltar in rough seas to Tangier, Morocco on the Northwest Coast of Africa. Tangier harbor was a dirty fishing port, with little space for sailboats but the city was very interesting. All of the narrow, dinghy streets are open markets. Fresh chickens and all parts of a variety of animals are on display for sale.
A few overnight sails, and our first down-wind sail in a long time, we arrived in Agadir, Morocco, on the West Coast of Africa. We will leave here in a few days for a 30-hour journey across the Atlantic to the Canary Islands.
